An exhilarating outing not to be missed!

A3 kilometres from the gite you’ll find the Gorges of the Toulourenc river where you can enjoy a refreshing, mostly shallow, water ramble in an unforgetable and ever changing picturesque setting. The two and a half hour’s gentle stroll, either upstream from Veau or down stream from St Leger’s ancient Roman bridge can combine some swimming and some (easy) climbing over boulders that straddle parts of the the river bed.Have some footwear with you to ensure a comfortable and secure foothold on the stony river bed and enjoy a picnic by the banks if you want to spend the whole day there.

If it tempts you, we should be delighted to share with you our passion for the olive tree and olive oil; we can introduce to you the technique of restoring dry-stone walls that secure the earth in the olive groves lying on the slopes. You can learn more about this mediterranean wonder – the olive tree, observe the different tasks involved in the olive grove according to the season (pruning, maintenance, harvest…) and how to sample olive oil.

A lock-up shed will be available for cyclists and mountain bikers to stow your 2 wheelers. Maps and detailed itineraries will enable you to organize your outings (all challenges and why not the Mont Ventoux?)
